The Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron is surrounded by ancient architecture from the time of Herod. Deep beneath the building is the holy Cave of Machpelah, where the Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and the Matriarchs Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah are buried. Adam and Eve are also buried there. And according to the tradition the head of Esav is also there (as our sages say in Sotah 13a). Although we cannot enter the cave itself, simply standing in such a holy place can deeply move and inspire a person. Hebron, the holy city of our forefathers.
